It all started with a humble migration of Shri. Boda Subbarayudu Gupta, father of Shri. Boda Manikyala Gupta from Tapeswaram, near Daksharamam in East Godavari Dist., and settling in Anakapalle, a trader city. He established shop that sold spices and Grocery. His reputation increased day by day due to his cost and quality consciousness. He earned lot of respect in the business community.
“Guptas Drinks” was started by (Late) Shri Boda Subrahmanya Gupta & (Late) Smt. Boda Visalakshmi, in 1947. It was a modest and humble start with few staff and manual bottling plant to fulfill the desire of providing affordable soft drink to people, which was considered a luxury at that time.
Shri. Subrahmanya Gupta garu called with affectionately as “Boda Raju Garu”, apart from Soft drinks, he continued to run the shop that dealt with Pan Masala goods, Agarbatti, Packing Material, Bakery requisites, as well as Cigarette and Cigars, was popular and trust worthy for quality and price. The shop stood to its reputation.
“Guptas Drinks” grew over several years and currently operates automated plant with Sixty (60) bpm (Bottles per Minute). This plant got expanded under able leadership of Shri. B S Gupta, (Shri. Nageswararao, for those close to him), scaled new heights of securing FPO and FSSAI certifications respectively. While Smt. Ratna Kumari was instrumental in smooth operations of the support processes.
He is an avid social service worker and member of Rotary Club of Anakapalle since 1966 (54 Years as of 2020). He served as President during Silver Jubliee Year of Rotary Club, Anakapalle, instrumental in starting Anakapalle Yoga Center and continue to run various programs for Children through Rama Balananda Sangham, as its President.
Smt. Ratna Kumari is an Innerwheel Club Member and held various positions (like President) and undertook several service projects. She is an active member of Anakapalle Yoga Center.
A fully automated plant was built on NH5, Near Thotada Junction in 2000.
Currently “Guptas Drinks” and factory is being managed by Shri. BNPV Gupta (Vijay). He was instrumental in expanding the business through establishment of Nikhileswar Agro Foods (PET Bottling line). He gained enormous experience in bottling plant equipment over the course of time. He actively sought after for consulting / advisory / guidance on setting up new & upgrade of existing plants in India and abroad.
While Smt. Suneetha, assists in business in various ways.
Next Generation of the Family is currently pursuing education in various levels.
